American Friends of Yad Eliezer now partners with B'ezri
Goldi’s mother passed away when she was two. She was adopted by an aunt and uncle who raised her together with their own children. Last year Goldi’s adoptive father passed away, leaving her aunt alone with the children. When Goldi got engaged a few months ago the whole family rejoiced with her, but her aunt simply did not have the means to help her set up a new home. A friend of the family contacted Yad Eliezer who then turned to the donors. When a child is left without parents to care for her, it is the responsibility of the whole community to do everything in their power to help, standing in for the parents of the young bride. And that’s exactly what happened. When Goldi walked to her chuppah last week, she did so with the knowledge that she would be going home to an apartment fully furnished with new electrical appliances, a complete bedroom set and many other basic home furnishings. And she went with the knowledge that while her real parents may not be with her, there are others who care enough to provide for her as they would for their own families. Mazel tov to Goldi with many wishes for a beautiful new beginning, and mazel tov to all of Am Yisrael- Goldi’s extended adoptive family.
