What’s a creative way to use your time wisely when in lockdown?
Esther Simon and Tzippy Blisko had a great idea recently, and collaborated on a project that not only kept them busy, but whose motivation was to help others-in this case, needy families. “Cooking Unmasked: A Collection of Global Recipes” is that project: a unique cookbook that is being sold with proceeds going to Yad Eliezer. Here are a few words about the project, from one of the co-authors herself. Yad Eliezer is grateful for this special partnership and honored to be involved in such a giving initiative.
"Several months ago, my friend Tzippy Blisko asked me if I was interested in working on a Tzedaka project. We had collaborated on many fundraisers in the past and enjoyed working together to raise money for various causes.
Since I was cooped up in the house with nothing to do but cook (and eat!) a cookbook immediately came to mind. Yad Eliezer, a wonderful organization, was a great match, as it provides food for those in need. We decided that while the whole world was in the midst of this pandemic, a cookbook containing global recipes would be the perfect fit. This cookbook contains close to 300 recipes from several countries and will appeal to novices and expert cooks alike.
You can never have too many cookbooks, why not get one that also supports a worthy cause."
