Monday, July 14, 2014Giving is living - Provide assistance to Israel's southern population
As the attacks on Israel continue at all hours of the day and night, Yad Eliezer, with your help, continues to provide assistance. At this time, over 50,000 residents living in the Greater Sderot area and the western Negev are attacked by rockets and mortars over 20 times a day. These families are staying at home in bomb shelters, and do not have sufficient supplies. Over $150,000 in aid has already been distributed to provide the families with food and toys, as the hot summer days are long and day camps are no longer running due to the situation.Thanks to your generous support, we have matched the $40,000 and in addition, Yad Eliezer is now preparing 2,000 care packages for soldiers at the Gaza border.
