Help Us Help Them
Israel is under fire.
You’ve probably seen the footage, but the ongoing Red Alert sirens and ear splitting explosions are louder and more frightening than you could ever imagine. They penetrate the days and nights, forcing terrified parents and children to run to bomb shelters and building stairwells, hoping the Iron Dome will do its job, and that they can make it to safety in time.
Families in Israel’s south and in cities along the map have lost their neighborhoods including shuls, schools, community centers, and their homes, both due to missiles and to ongoing rioting. They’ve lost their sense of peace and security. Too many people are injured and
too many have lost their lives.
Thankfully, IDF soldiers are at the height of activity, extremely motivated and working harder than ever to protect Israeli lives in numerous ways. But hours are hot (or very cold at night), long, strenuous and difficult. Many haven’t seen their families since this latest Gaza crisis began, and it is unclear when they will be able to come home next.
Yad Eliezer is reaching out to bring relief to families caught in this crisis. Imagine their chaos: lives turned upside down as, instead of going to school and going about their daily routines, they constantly run to shelters, forced to remain there, with little to do, for hours. An average bomb shelter in Israel is in substandard condition, with no a/c or facilities. The aid we send will provide them with necessities to help alleviate their difficult situation.
We are also reaching out to send support to the IDF soldiers who are battling terror on multiple fronts, bringing them relief, too.
Together, our help will show these families and soldiers that they are appreciated, they are not alone, and that we care.
