During the days of fighting in the south, the Yad Eliezer organization distributed thousands of food portions to the residents of the south who were stranded in their homes. The food and treats that were distributed were meant to ease the burden of the families as they huddled in the bomb shelters.

Food distributers such as ‘Ta’aman’, ‘Kedma’, and ‘Better and Different’ donated food products which were distributed throughout the days of the operation. The organization stated, “Our goal is that not a single person in the city be left without food, and thanks to our network of volunteers we were well prepared.”
