The Chessed Pre-Chanuka Event

The Chessed provides home-cooked foods to families who are unable to purchase or cook the necessary provisions for Shabbos. Groups of women participate in a rotation system, whereby each woman prepares one dish each week, and together, beautiful meals are prepared and delivered to needy families on erev shabbos.



Just before Chanuka, the coordinators of the program organized a beautiful melave malka as a token of appreciation to the participants in the program. A beautiful spread of scrumptious food was arranged, and an enjoyable time was had by all, as the guests were treated to entertainment by Ayelet the Kosher Komic. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the reading of a beautiful letter by one of the families who benefit from the program each week to the girls, explaining so eloquently what an unbelievable chessed they perform on a constant basis.
