War continues & so does our support

October 7 is a date that will live on eternally in the hearts and lives of Jews around the world. It has been one year since that fateful and tragic day, one that shocked the Jewish nation into ongoing, overwhelming trauma and pain, while simultaneously bringing it together in a display of unity at levels never seen before. 
 
American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri is proud to count itself among those who immediately stepped in to provide Israelis with urgent aid. Mere hours after the news of the Hamas terror attacks broke, B'ezri sprung into action, initiating what would become an emergency campaign that has been distributing over $4 million in support.

For the last year, our Stand With Israel campaign has provided help to IDF soldiers in need of gear including headlamps, tactical uniforms, protective vests, Leatherman pocket knives, jackets and other essentials. Our aid has provided families in the Gaza envelope with necessities ranging from emergency food shipments to thousands of books and craft packages and urgent home repairs for broken entry doors and window security bars plus everything in between. Support has also been allocated to displaced families, supplying them with necessities in hotels including washing machines, freezers, babysitting services, furniture for makeshift preschools, hundreds of packages of art supplies and myriad other needs. We have allocated funds for emotional therapy, for payment of overdue bills due to job loss and for countless other challenges.
 
At the one year mark, B'ezri is still providing support to individuals and families who are affected by the war. The need only continues and we recognize that even after the war is over, there will be significant demand for help with mental health care, medical expenses, debts incurred from continued displacement and unemployment and the numerous added issues that will need to be addressed. B'ezri will be there, as always, to fill that need-quickly and efficiently.
