Getting a Head Start

We're planning for winter, now!

Though summer has yet to begin, American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri is already gearing up for the winter. Planning for our Winter Warmth Campaign, which provides brand new, quality coats to thousands of families throughout Israel, begins now. 

As a Jerusalem charity that holds distributions in over 40 cities, we special order brand new coats from China months in advance to guarantee we can get the best coats for the most cost effective prices. Careful thought goes into our order. Fabric choices, colors, sizes and elements such as zippers, hoods and pockets are all taken into consideration to ensure we are providing the nicest, most stylish coats to needy families, ensuring they can keep warm during the winter and look great doing it.

American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri distributed over 20,000 coats this past winter: 14,600 for children and 6,000 for young women. Our program has been so successful and demand for it has been so great, that it's grown significantly over the last few years and will likely do so again this coming winter, especially with costs of living being especially high. Our program brings real relief to needy families, helping them stay warm with good coats, saving them money that can be used for other purposes.
