American Friends of Yad Eliezer now partners with B'ezri
American Friends of Yad Eliezer | B’ezri constantly works to help people improve their lives via education and small business support through our Job Training/Microfinancing program-something that makes us one of the most forward thinking Jewish charities in Israel. In addition to providing financial aid for schooling and one-time grants for individuals who want to grow their small businesses, American Friends of Yad Eliezer | B’ezri has also been partnering with the Temech group over the years, assisting with subsidies for women’s entrepreneurial seminars.
The most recent course, Marvichot B’Gadol (loosely translated as “Women, Earning/Learning Big”), has just produced its first round of graduates. Twenty women, small business owners (of both new and previously established initiatives), participated in the professionally-led program, meeting once a week in Bnei Brak for four months, in person and online. Frontal and peer group sessions covered a wide range of topics including marketing, sales, business plan writing, and other subjects critical to business growth. Marvichot B’Gadol teaches skills and provides tools that business owners can use to bring new energy to their enterprises, become more time efficient and productive, improve their business’s stability, and of course, grow profits so they can better support their families.
The participants own businesses of myriad types including graphic design, gown rental, school programming, bridal cosmetology, tax advice, mental health therapy, alternative medicine, occupational therapy, architectural design for people with physical disabilities and others.
Marvichot B’Gadol garnered tremendous positive feedback such as:
“Because of this course I’ve gained a new energy for my practice that recharges me as I go to work each week.”
“Now I understand better how to advertise my business, where I should promote it and who I should reach out to.”
“The lecturers are extremely professional, their advice is superb and so practical.”
Due to the success of the program another course has begun in Jerusalem, enabling a fresh group of entrepreneurs to move forward and reach new heights.
