Generous $5,000 grant

The High Holiday season is just beginning and it is one of Yad Eliezer’s busiest; countless requests for help for families in need come in every day until the chagim actually begin, and we do our best to provide relief for them, as they struggle on multiple levels. The challenges of putting special foods on the table, paying utility bills, purchasing basic clothing items and other hurdles take away from the celebratory feeling of the holidays and transform them into days of stress and shame. 

Yad Eliezer is extremely grateful to the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles who has already stepped in to help.
The generous JCFLA grant of $5,000 to our High Holidays Food Distribution program, made in loving memory of their colleague and friend, Fay Althausen, z”l, will go a long way in enabling us to allay that stress, remove the shame and bring the simcha back into the holidays for needy families. Our tremendous thanks go to the JCFLA for their meaningful support!
