Yad Eliezer - the best Israeli organisation to volunteer in
They say that "good friends are hard to find".
That's not always the case, though, especially with our volunteers. For the past
15 years, every Thursday week in and week out, some very good friends-boys from Yeshivat Noam in Jerusalem have come to Yad Eliezer's warehouse to pack
food boxes for the needy. The help they provide is invaluable and their most recent visit was made even more memorable than usual.
The students, due to complete Masechet Mishnayot Moed, would soon be making a siyum. Yeshivat Noam's Rav Eyal Sabag, inspired by experiences at Yad Eliezer, requested that it be held in our warehouse! Our staff loved the idea, and made special arrangements for the group to come at an exclusive time. With both students and their parents attending, it was a meaningful evening-a beautiful combination of chesed and learning.
Once again, our thanks go out to Yeshivat Noam, its staff, and students. We wish the boys continued hatzlacha and look forward to many more years of this wonderful friendship!
