At first, when Rav Dani updated me about the coat distribution through B'ezri, I told him I didn’t really have the energy for it. It would mean calling each family to ask for their sizes, etc., and then distributing them, which would be a bit of a headache in itself, and until people actually come to pick them up...
But on the first rainy day, I saw three girls from a family the kupat tzedaka assists, walking under one umbrella. Two of them were without coats, shivering from the cold. I understood that Hashem placed this image directly in front of me, so that we should indeed distribute the coats.
In the last few days, my wife distributed the coats. The children came to pick them up; some arrived with badly torn coats, and others said they didn’t have coats in their size. Mamash, each child left the distribution like a king, with a good feeling because they could choose which color they wanted, etc. There were girls who took half an hour to decide which coat to choose. In short, they left feeling like royalty.
