American Friends of Yad Eliezer uses every dollar of tzedaka as efficiently as possible, in our mission to bring vital relief to needy families. We constantly review our practices to ensure we are working at the highest level of cost effectiveness. With that in mind, we have restructured our food distribution procedures. Currently we distribute supermarket gift cards to families so they can shop where and when they choose, and pick foods (including fresh produce) their families enjoy. We no longer pack food boxes at our warehouse, thus saving thousands of dollars in operation and delivery costs. At this time, therefore, we are not accepting individual volunteers or groups. We appreciate the assistance and support our volunteers have provided over the years and look forward to working with you in future chesed activities!
