Almanos Express Their Thanks

An extra stipend is making an extra difference

Someone once commented that B’ezri runs such a wide variety of programs at such an effective level, that each one could constitute its own charity organization.

Well, we couldn’t be prouder.
But with so much aid going out to so many families of so many kinds (literally thousands each month) for so many different reasons, we don’t always get feedback or a reaction from the recipients when they receive the tzedaka to help their situation.

And… sometimes we do.
Our Summer Relief campaign has been running at full speed, providing aid that's enabling thousands of needy families throughout Israel to pay for expenses to get them through July and August. Nine hundred of them are almanos with families to support. And here are just a fraction of the thanks we’ve received from them-thanks that illustrate how much of an impact we're making.

Thank you for the wonderful message today that let us know about the extra summer stipend. We still haven’t finished paying off the debts from the previous weddings of our children. This is the first time we haven’t gone on any kind of vacation during the summer-even a small one. But the additional funds-they are simply “like water for a thirsty soul”! You are giving us some breathing space.
Thank you, may Hashem reward you for all the good you and your donors are doing.

B'ezri's Almanos coordinator, Rivki, told us:
"When I called Batia M. today, I could hear noise in the background, the sound of her kids (she has 7, one just got married last month). So I asked her if it was a good time to talk. She said yes, they were just on a Bein Hazmanim trip. I mentioned that we had just deposited a summer stipend (for her, it was just over 3400 NIS) into her bank account. She began to laugh! She told me that earlier a few of the kids had asked if they could buy something along the way and she had answered no, that it wasn’t in today’s budget. “Now”, she said, “I can go back and tell them, actually, yes - it is in today’s budget!”

Wow, kol hakavod to you.
"אילו פינו מלא שירה....אין אנחנו מספיקים להודות"
What a surprise this was in my bank account! My children really wanted to travel to Yerushalayim for Shabbat, but I had no idea how to budget that. Obviously I don’t like to tell them that I can’t afford it. So I usually say that I will think about it and try to find a way. But this time, I can really find a way for the three of us to go for a nice Shabbat away.
There are simply no words!

Thank you for the support for Bein HaZmanim. This really helps us and gives us koach. I appreciate it very much.

Shalom,
First of all, thank you so much for all the money you give to me and my family. It is such a huge help and definitely lightens the burden. I noticed there was an extra deposit this month, yesterday on the fifteenth. Was that on purpose, maybe for a vacation? Or was it a mistake? I just want to be prepared if next month I won’t receive anything.
Again, thank you so much!

Shira T.

I want to express my thanks and appreciation to all the donors and everyone involved in this avodat hakodesh, doing everything possible to be m’sameach us and let us feel that we, too have the opportunity to “renew”. Whether it’s with new clothes and shoes for yom tov, food and treats for the children, help with back-to-school needs, and even a special birthday gift for the mother! It really warms the heart and gives us the feeling that we are not alone. How wonderful it is for Hashem, that these are His children, that these are His shlichim who are fulfilling the mitzvah לשמח יתום ואלמנה.
אשריכם ואשרי חלקכם בעולם הזה ובעולם הבא
And may we be zoche for and witness to the geula as soon as possible.

Limor C., Hadera

Shalom U’vracha,
I mamash want to thank you and all the donors for the help. I genuinely see how each time I am in need of something, Hashem sends it...I want to give you a bracha that you should always be on the giving end and may Hashem fill all your desires for the good. May you see bracha in all you do.
Thank you for everything!

Thank you for the monthly help that always comes at exactly the right time. And thank you for the extra summer help! I truly appreciate it.
Tizku L’mitzvot,

Orli

Rivki adds:
"Just now Rachel G. called, very excitedly, to thank us for the special summer stipend. She also wanted to tell me that exactly one day before my phone call to let her know about the money, she saw in her bacnk account she would not manage during the summer and went to a neighbor to borrow 1200 NIS. She told the neighbor she would try to repay it by the 20th of the month, and that Hashem would help. The next day she got our message and also the money!"

This is just the tip of the Thank You iceberg, thanks to donor support. Help us continue to make this impact on countless lives!
